Max Factor Lipfinity - Product Review

Max Factor Lipfinity is a 2-step system for your lips, formulated to last all day long. The first step is to apply the color (which stains the lips) and then let it dry. After that, you apply the moisturizing top coat. The instructions (which are hard to read because of the small print) tell you to apply the top coat as often as you like after the first application

I'd love some lip color that lasts all day so I was eager to give it a try. I chose "Charming Charmante" because it's similar to the colors that I usually wear. I was pleased that the color on the top of the box was very close to the actual color, although it looked much darker in the tube.

The color itself is a thick liquid and is applied with a wand. I let it dry according to the instructions and my lips a little uncomfortable (dry.) The top coat remedied that, adding moisture and protection to the color.

The first time I tried Lipfinity, I checked it throughout the day to see how long it really lasts. I did not reapply the topcoat, then I might as well be messing with lipstick. Later on, my lips often felt dry, but I was happy they had some color. The lip color also made my thin lips appear larger, so that was a definite plus for me.

Overall, the color usually stays on (and looks good) for about 7 hours on me. It has a tendency to really stick to the drier parts of my lips so the color didn't stay completely consistent later on and my lips appeared a little more wrinkled. (It's the drier parts of my lips that I had to remove the color before I went to bed.) I've worn it to parties, eating and drinking and it does wear off a little sooner than it does in an office environment.

How long it lasts probably depends on the color you buy and what you will be doing. I am happy with MaxFactor Lipfinity and will make another purchase in a different color. For the low price of $8.84 and gorgeous shades, I think it's a good value.
