Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs - Product Review

What woman doesn't want gorgeous, flawless legs? That's what Sally Hansen has in mind with their new product called "Airbrush Legs." It claims you can "Spray-on Perfect Legs in an Instant." The concept is cool, but does it work?

To try this product out, I purchased two different shades, Medium Glow and Tan Glow for when I have a dark tan. The first thing I noticed is that the picture on the can features a picture of a model's legs that appear to be darker above the knees than below. Hmm.

The closer the color is to your own skin tone, the easier it is to apply evenly. Since the Medium Glow is the closest to my own skin tone, it worked great for evening out my skin tone and covering flaws.

I wouldn't throw out my sunless tanning lotion, but the Tan Glow did darken up my skin for a quick tan and it looked natural -- provided that I rubbed it in quickly, before it dried. In a few ways, I liked it better than self-tanning lotion because it dries almost instantly and doesn't seem to rub off on clothing like the self tanners do. I even used this product on my arms, upper chest and face to try it out. So far, I've been pleased with the results.

I think this product is the best option for natural-looking legs in lieu of pantyhose. A good choice if you're wearing a skirt, shorts or cropped capri pants. After it dries, it stays on until it wears off or until you wash it off. You should be careful if you're going swimming or working out in humidity because once it gets wet, it can streak.

The scent wasn't very good, but it wasn't unpleasant. (There is no scent after it dries, so it's really not an issue.) I liked it because it dried quickly and I didn't have to wait long before getting dressed.

The only thing I don't like is that it's messy. You need to be careful with your clothing and surrounding furniture, walls and floor coverings. When the can nears empty, it sprays in chunky droplets that stray all over. On subsequent uses, I sprayed it on outdoors and in the shower stall to avoid splatters landing everywhere.

The benefits to using Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs is to cover any flaws your legs may have such as scars, freckles, moles or an uneven skin tone. It works pretty well for me. The trick is practice. For the best natural results with Airbrushed Legs, find the closest match to your own skin tone. After applying, check it out in bright lights before you head out the door to make sure it's applied evenly and you don't have any lines or streaks.
